The season will run from January 4th through February 6th with games on Wednesdays and Fridays. The playoffs will start February 1st and the championship will be held on Saturday, February 6th. Games will be moved outside until the mayor's mandate has been lifted.

Registration is a 3-step process.

1) Register with USA Hockey for the 2020-2021 season ($55). Become a member at www.usahockey.com. You will receive a USA Hockey ID# for the season. That ID# is needed when you register with Anchorage Hockey Association. (There is sometimes a several hour delay from when you register with USA Hockey until the ID# is recognized in our system).

2) Register with Anchorage Hockey Association ($250). Follow the link below (or click here) to register. You will need your 2020-2021 USA Hockey ID# that you received in step #1. (There is sometimes a delay of up to 24 hours from when you receive your USA Hockey ID# and it is recognized by the registration system).

3) Register with the Anchorage School District's Arbiter Planet HS (no fee) at www.planeths.com. This includes a physical.

All three parts must be completed before players can practice or play games.
 

Anchorage Hockey Association has decided to oversee Girls High School Hockey in Anchorage. The Anchorage School District first offered high school hockey for girls during the 2003-2004 season. After the 2013-2014 season, ASD decided to drop the sport in favor of flag football for girls. Not wanting to see the program disappear, the Scotty Gomez Foundation offered to outsource the program and was in charge of operations from 2014-15 season through 2017-2018, including all expenses. After the 2017-2018 season, the Scotty Gomez Foundation decided not to continue the program after a grant from Dick's Sporting Goods ran out. Anchorage Hockey Association stepped in and picked up the torch to continue offering hockey for high school girls. AHA receives no funding from ASD or other large grants. Like the Gomez Foundation, AHA must raise all the funds to cover the program.
