Over the past couple of off-seasons, AHA has offer Anchorage Lacrosse to families to give kids a break from the rink and an opportunity to learn a new sport. Starting lacrosse has had some challenges and we have learn a lot since our first camp back in the spring 2017. It’s important that we continue to build on what we’ve established and that’s why AHA and Club Sport of Alaska will be working together to offer a spring Lacrosse Academy and a July lacrosse league. We feel this is the next step in growing the game of lacrosse in Anchorage.
Looking to play and learn one of the fastest growing sports in America? Join our Lacrosse Academy! Learn to throw, catch, cradle, and PLAY the game. We will take your players through a curriculum that will help them succeed and develop in the game of lacrosse. The lacrosse academy will be a NO-CONTACT program, this will help to give all kids the opportunity to try and learn the great sport of lacrosse. This will also better prepare them for the upcoming Lacrosse League in July, PLUS it’s going to be a TON OF FUN!
This program is designed as a developmental program and is dedicated to building skills. Half of the 90 min session works on skill building and the other half is set-up for scrimmage play. Skill drills and then application – that is how your children will best learn.
This is a co-ed program for kids between 8-16 years old. We will play out of Romig Middle School football field on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00pm
